In today’s world, mental health has emerged as a critical concern affecting everyone. Investing the time for mental health training is an investment in the well-being of yourself, your family and community, and your organization.
Mental health training combats the stigma surrounding mental health challenges. People are taught how to identify and respond empathically to signs of mental health challenges, including the skills to provide initial support and de-escalation, and to connect someone to the appropriate care.
Additionally, mental health training equips people with valuable tools to build resilience and develop strategies for stress management, self-care, and emotional regulation, all of which facilitates the effective navigation of life’s challenges, both personally and professionally.
We are proud to have trained over 1,100 participants through our congressional funded grant, empowering community members with essential mental health first aid skills at no cost. Although this specific funding has been completed, The Connection Institute for Innovative Practice remains committed to supporting mental health in our communities. We will continue to offer Mental Health First Aid, Youth Mental Health First Aid, and Mental Health Response training as part of our ongoing public training courses. Please contact Nikita Joslyn, Director of Business Development for more information. Thank you for your support and dedication to fostering a mentally healthy and resilient community.
