Middletown, CT. The Joey Logano Foundation has awarded The Connection’s Connecting Children and Families therapeutic foster care program $30,000 in funding to support program services and foster family recruitment efforts.
“The Joey Logano Foundation has been a wonderful resource for The Connection since we first partnered with them in 2014,” said Lisa DeMatteis-Lepore, CEO of The Connection. “Their generous support has allowed us to make a real difference in the lives of so many Connection clients and their families.”
Connecting Children & Families is a licensed, therapeutic foster care program that matches youth of all ages with dedicated foster parents who have opened their hearts and homes to welcome a child. Connecting Children & Families staff members take the time to help prospective parents with all the information and training needed to become a foster parent. Families that provide patience, guidance and structure for children who have experience behavioral health challenges can create a positive outcome for the most vulnerable children in our state. Every child has the potential to develop into a positive member of their community.
