The Connection is pleased to announce that we will be a beneficiary of the Common Threads event hosted by Dawn’s Pizzazz Group. The event will be held at the Portuguese Cultural Center in Danbury, CT on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 6 pm. The event will feature special guests from The CARES Foundation and The Connection CEO Lisa DeMatteis-Lepore.
From Dawn’s Pizzazz Group:
“The stigma associated with suicide and substance use disorder and related issues often keeps individuals and families from seeking help out of shame, guilt, denial, and many other emotions. It is our sincere hope that we can help shed light on these very difficult issues so that families, friends, and loved ones can begin the process of seeking guidance and support, enabling them to find solutions for their loved ones and ultimately heal.”
