The Place to be on October 28

Join us at picturesque Lighthouse Point Park in New Haven with its scenic views of New Haven Harbor and Long Island Sound.  Run or walk the 5K Race, then kick back and enjoy the family festival.  Youngsters will enjoy the Kids' Half-Mile Fun Run.

 

A Race for Every Pace

The 5K (3.1 miles) is open to runners and walkers.  The certified course starts and finishes near Lighthouse Point Park's historic carousel and boasts scenic water views and passes a long beach, bird sanctuary and a lighthouse.  The noncompetitive Kids' Half-Mile Fun Run is held entirely within the Park; commemorative ribbons are provided to all finishers.

Race, Costume Awards and Shirts

Shirts will be given to all pre-registered walkers and runners, and the first 100 raceday entrants.  Awards will be given to the top three female and male finishers in these age categories: 12 and under; 13-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70-79; and 80 and over.  In addition, awards will be given to best individual costumes for kids and adults as determined by our judges.

Family Festival and Post-Race Party

Celebrate the season at our Family Festival starting at 8:30 AM and post-race party!  Enjoy chowder, hot dogs, fruit, drinks, music and kids' activities, including face painting, games (pumpkin bowling & more) and costume contest for kids and adults.  Enjoy free carousel rides!
